Atlas Castings & Technology is one of only a few foundries left in North America that is qualified to make castings for Nuclear applications.
Atlas maintains a complete Quality System to meet the requirements of ASME, ISO 9001, MIL-I-45208 and 10CFR Part 21 (Safety Related Products.) This system has been reviewed and approved by ASME and registered by Underwriters Laboratories (UL) for compliance to ISO 9001: 2000.

Personnel Qualifications:
All Atlas Inspection personnel performing or supervising nondestructive examination on castings have been qualified and certified to the ASNT (American Society for Non-Destructive Testing) Supplement SNT-TC-1A. In addition inspection personnel hold qualifications for NAVSEA 250-1500-1, MIL-STD-2132SH. Supervisory personnel are qualified to Levels II and III. Operators are trained and certified to Levels I and II in a continuing program of education and participation. Atlas maintains ASNT qualified National level III inspectors in the examination methods of Ultrasonics, Liquid Penetrant, Magnetic Particle, Visual and Radiography.
