  ARCHITECTURAL, BUILDING, AND BRIDGE CASTINGS

37,458 lbs. main suspension cable splay saddle casting for a new cable suspension bridge, ASTM A148 grade 90-60.
Steel castings offer Architects and Civil Engineers flexibility of design and unlimited potential for steel geometry. The use of steel castings in building construction is an attractive option which can reduce the total cost of a structure. Atlas Castings & Technology has manufactured seismic load redistribution castings for retrofit onto suspension bridges, nodes for floating oil platforms, and connectors for floating bridges. The use of castings for building and bridge construction allows weight to be reduced, cost to be lowered, and performance to be improved.

Node castings replace complicated weldments and move welds away from highly stressed areas. Our concurrent engineering process can assist in design and conversion of fabrications to castings. Manufacturing drawings are commonly provided for cognizant agency approval.

48,250 lb, 500 mpa yield strength cast steel node replaces a complicated weldment that moves welds away from highly stressed area on oil well platform.

Connector used on floating bridge cast using CA6NM martensitic stainless steel to provide strength and improve corrosion resistance.

15 feet long, suspension bridge main suspension cable clamp casting, machined to match profile of 70 year old cable bundle.
