OFFSHORE OIL EXPLORATION
Atlas began supplying castings for TLP's and other offshore oil projects in 1990. Since that time we have provided a variety of high strength cast components to over a dozen different customers. Typical castings include: riser baskets, tendon porches, load rings, anchoring receptacles, platform nodes, mooring trunnions, hot taps, and Wye bodies. Atlas has developed special alloys to meet the unique requirements of offshore systems. These materials are qualified to RP2Z CTOD 345 mpa Yield Strength, Shell Supplement 11, BP SP-1117, and/or military HY80. Atlas commonly assists the customer to achieve the best design for the lowest cost. This includes conversions from fabricated or forged products to cast parts. In addition we provide rough machining, finish machining, special coatings, welded attachments, material overlays, and component assembly. If you have a demanding application for an offshore system, we can help.
